Your deposit and the TDS

We are a family landlord and every deposit is protected with the TDS. You'll receive the prescribed information after payment.

As a rule the deposit is five times the weekly rent. For a room that is five times the weekly room rent. For a whole home it is five weeks of the monthly rent converted to a week.

Deductions, if any, are discussed at checkout against the inventory. If we can't agree, TDS adjudication exists for that reason.

Don't use the deposit as last month's rent. It isn't, and it delays everyone.
